GSB method

The GSB is a construction method thast can build a bottomed pile even in the support layer of soft rock and medium hard rock.

Features of construction method
The very first construction method in japan.
A GSB bucket which is an enlarged drilling machine is attached to the tip of the casing of a general purpose all round rotary excavator and the bottom of the hole is excavated using the rotary torque of all around rotary excavator and the hydraulic telescopic arm of the GSB bucket.
Expanded drilling in very hard rocks.
Applicable ground shall be rock formations with an N valuve of 50 or more and will be in the range of soft rock and medium hard rock according to the classification of earth and rock specified in the common specification for civil engineering works of the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport.
Maximum enlarged diameter 3000mm, maximum inclination angle 12° can be built.
Since the arm of the GSB bucket can extend up to 500 mm from the outer surface of the full circumference rotary excavator, it becomes the casing diameter + 1000 mm. Since it is possible to manage the pushing amount of the casing and the expansion/ contraction amount of the arm in increments of 1 cm, it is possible to construct an inclined part with a maximum inclination angle of 12 degree.
Easy equipment for expanded drilling.
The GSB bucket can be fitted with grippers and spacers for arms matching the diameter of each shaft part and it has a structure capable of dealing with four diameter of 1500, 1600, 1800, and 2000 in shaft diameter.
Drilling earth can be recycled as general soil residue.

The blade attached to the arm of the GSB bucket has the function of gathering enlarged excavated soil in the center. The excavated soil collected at the center is discharged by hammer grab and GSB bottom rough bucket.
